PROUD

It is one of our key priorities to ensure that each child in our care develops the best possible communication skills, and the confidence to articulate effectively.  Strong communication skills help children to be successful in their studies and their future job prospects.  Being able to express feelings and ideas in an appropriate way helps with emotional regulation and the ability to understand social cues, to avoid conflict. We also want our children and young people to recognise a range of means to express themselves including a strong focus on communication and expression through the arts.

The five strands of 'PROUD' help us to ensure a relentless focus on all aspects of positive communication and the development of values that support our contribution to the wider world.
